I have been doing genealogy for over 25 years. I have always been interested in history, and as a young adult, I was introduced to genealogy. After working at a museum for several years, I was hired at a public library to manage the local history and genealogy department. I specialize in Michigan and Dutch genealogy.
I also enjoy working with DNA. I have successfully helped individuals look for their biological families.


Education

I have a BS in Anthropology from Grand Valley State University. I have successfully completed the Certificate in Genealogical Research program through Boston University.


Experience

I have managed the Local History and Genealogy department at a public library in Western Michigan for over 16 years. I specialize in Michigan research and Dutch genealogy. I also have experience in genealogy presentations.
