I have over 20 years of experience in genealogy research. My love for genealogy began as a small girl. My dad loved genealogy and I started out by looking for small family plots on farms my family grew up on. Sometimes this involved stopping by the local funeral home to get directions. This continued into college were I wrote a paper on my family in a historical context for the time they lived in for my history class. I decided to make genealogy my career in 2010 and started to taking classes to hone my skills and start taking clients.

I started taking clients in 2010 and it started with researching family and friends and grew from there. I started getting clients and they would sometimes come back for more directed research based upon my findings and suggestions for further research. In 2012 I attended my first forensic genealogy conference and was invited to join CAFG at their first level. I was assigned a mentor and was assigned forensic genealogy work. As my work improved I submitted reports/affidavits for review and each time I was approved to level up. In 2020 I submitted a report, affidavit and took a test and obtained my FGC credential. I now contract for the Navy to do repatriation work in addition to working with lawyers on probate cases and family history research.
