After more than 10 years as a professional translator living in the U.S. and Bulgaria, I decided to combine my education and experience in linguistics with my long-time hobby of family history research to become a genealogical researcher and translator. My passion for bringing the past to light through a better and more accurate understanding of the events and context that shaped that past led me to complete Boston University's Genealogical Principles and Certificate in Genealogical Research programs as well as the GenProof and ProGen Study Group programs.
As the owner of Legacy Uncovered LLC, I offer clients the opportunity to open the doors of history through the following services:
- Traditional genealogical research with a special focus on the Great Lakes region of the U.S. and German immigrant research.
- Transcription and translation of old documents written in English, German, and Bulgarian.
