Shaun Klee, MLIS

ProGen Member Overview

Shaun Klee is the Reference & Collections Services Librarian for a large Nebraska library with nine years of professional public library experience. His passion for uncovering stories began early--what started as a childhood 4-H project has grown into a lifelong dedication to helping others navigate the world of research and discover their family histories.

He holds a Bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of North Dakota and a Master's in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Building on his academic background, he earned a professional certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University, combining his love of human stories with rigorous research.

As a reference librarian, Shaun specializes in connecting patrons with resources and research strategies they need, whether they're exploring local history, tracing family roots, or diving into research. His anthropology background brings a unique perspective to genealogical work, helping patrons and clients understand not just the names and dates of their ancestors, but the historical and cultural contexts that shaped their lives.

Shaun is committed to making research accessible and empowering others with the tools and confidence to explore their own questions about the past.
