ProGen Member Overview

I am an accredited genealogist for the United States Mid-South, Mexico, Spain, Portugal and Chile. I am currently employed by FamilySearch at the Family History Library where I manage the Latin America/Southern Europe and German/Slavic teams. I am also the training coordinator for our volunteers. I am fluent in Spanish and can also read genealogical records in Portuguese, Italian, French and Latin.


Education

I graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Arts in Family History from Brigham Young University.
I interned at the New England Historical Genealogical Society in Boston.


Experience

I have researched in several major and provincial archives in Spain. I also have experience with the major archives of Portugal. I have conducted research throughout Latin America, Quebec, France, Italy, and the United States. I present regularly at regional and national conferences including RootsTech, NGS, IGHR and SLIG.
