Before retirement, I was an executive coach, working in corporations in Europe. The skills needed for this work transferred into my training and practice as a genealogist. I enjoy researching, diagnosing, and discovering solutions to genealogical puzzles. In 2022, I will also be teaching "Introduction to Genealogical Research" at Harbor's Edge in Norfolk.

I work with clients on research questions. I was memberships chair for my DAR chapter. Also I have facilitated successful membership applications in the DAR, SAR, Mayflower, Holland Dames, Founders of New Jersey, National Society for the Daughters of American Colonists, and Daughters of US War of 1812. I especially enjoy working with beginning family historians. Serving as Second Vice President and Nominations Chair on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Genealogical Society, I have appreciated having a genealogy community and increased my knowledge of North Carolina history. My specialty is Virginia and North Carolina research with visits to Richmond and Raleigh. I recently was published in the NCGS Journal. In October 2022, I will be teaching at Harbor's Edge in Norfolk and presenting for the Virginia Beach Genealogical Society in December 2022.
