In 8th grade a history assignment to create a family tree planted a seed for my love of genealogy and family history. Many years passed then 2012 hit with the release of the 1940 US census and my interest was sparked again. That year I joined the Daughters of the American Revolution as a Junior member. Shortly thereafter I joined the Associated Daughters of Early American Witches then Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War and finally Mayflower Society.
