Linda has been doing genealogical research primarily focused on Monroe, Ontario, Yates and Steuben Counties for over 38 years. She has also researched from Syracuse to Buffalo and from Lake Ontario to the New York / Pennsylvania border.
Linda does research in court houses, libraries, county archives, cemeteries and historical societies. She will do cemetery photography also.
Lineage society applications have been completed for past clients. Her strength is locality research in the counties mentioned above.
By education, Linda is a medical librarian. However, she never practiced in that field but worked as public librarian for over twenty-three years. In retirement, she has been the volunteer librarian for a local historical society for over two decades.
Linda has attended IGHR, numerous NGS and FGS conferences as well as local genealogical society lectures. She is a member of NGS, NEHGS, Ontario County Genealogical Society, Ontario County Historical Society as well as the Rochester (NY) Genealogical Society.
She also attends many lectures sponsored by the Rochester Regional Library Council.
Education is an ongoing commitment to this researcher.
