Family history and education have been my passions for the last 30 years. My experience is in the upper midwest (Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa, Wisconsin), New England (especially Massachusetts), and Norway. I also research in Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. I enjoy working with DNA and have had success in breaking down bricks-walls using DNA and associated tools.
As the retired director of technology in a suburban school district near St. Paul, MN, my role was to create a learning environment infused with technology tools to engage and inspire staff and students for life-long learning. Life-long-learning is a passion of mine and is critical to all genealogists. I have a degree in elementary education and am a Certified Education Technology Leader: this national certification demonstrates that the holder has the leadership skills needed to implement shared technology goals in an educational environment.
I have been retired since 2016, but have been furthering my genealogy education since 2014 with several institutes annually, webinars, and journals,
I am the vice president of the Minnesota Genealogical Society, 2020-2023.
