Started my genealogy research in 1993 and decided in 2019 to turn it into a profession. My favorite type of records are criminal and probate/will records, though land records are a close third. A native of Oklahoma, but vast research in KS, MO, OH, PA and moving into New England, NY, and Canada. I also love researching in England! I currently own My Genealogy Roots and take clients as well as the creator and host of The Criminal Genealogist podcast. The podcast explores criminal ancestors, exploring their genealogy and their crimes.

I started researching in 1993 when living in Germany, mainly focused on my family and going years between research at times. Slowly got back into almost daily research on my family before signing up for Boston University's program in 2020. It's been a whirlwind since then with education, conferences, networking, volunteering, taking clients, and researching for my podcast. Currently serving on SLIG committee as Marketing Manager and FB Community Manager and APG's Chapter & SIG Review Committee.
